Training and Competency Policy

This Training and Competency Policy demonstrates your company’s commitment to provide training and supervision for your workers. Expecting workers to perform tasks they are unskilled or untrained in, may lead to serious incidents or injuries.

Many workers may feel pressured to perform tasks they they don’t feel comfortable doing. They may want to prove themselves, feel embarrassed to admit they don’t know how, or fear they may loose their job if they refuse. This policy provides guidelines to make sure workers receive the appropriate training and supervision until they can demonstrate they are competent to safely perform their work activities.
